Welcome to the August edition of Insight

 

Here at CAP, we’ve been busy.  The Code Policy team is assessing the responses to the Code Review consultation and we’ve written a new AdviceOnline entry covering important new guidance on ads for video games and films (please register or sign in on the site to view the full entry).

 

There have also been a number of important ASA adjudications, which we will be looking at in greater depth in the coming months, but this month we will be looking at the issue of sporting ‘sponsorship’ messages.

 

As ever, the team are on hand to help you steer a path through these and any other difficult issues you may have.

Matthew Morgan

 

Matthew has a BA in History from the LSE. Before joining CAP he worked in the Advertising Standards Authority Complaints team for 18 months.

He has been on the Copy Advice team for over a year and specialises in telecoms advertising (including broadband packages), the use of “free” in marketing material, taste & decency issues and alternative therapies.
